Join us on Sunday 11th October to discuss our September Read, The Things We Never Say by Elizabeth Strout 📚🍸
Longlisted for The Booker Prize 2026, the novel follows Artie Dam, a history teacher living an outwardly ordinary life while privately struggling with feelings of isolation and how little we truly know about the people closest to us. When he discovers a secret that threatens to upend his world, he is forced to reconsider the relationships and life he thought he knew.
Whether you’ve finished every page, are still halfway through, or simply want to join the conversation, you’re very welcome to come along.
We’ll be gathering at @hiddengrooveshifi inside @virginhotelsldnshoreditch. We’ll start the afternoon with a welcome drink before settling into our book discussion, with snacks on the table and plenty of time afterwards to mingle, meet other readers and enjoy another drink if you fancy one.
